Caxton Legal Centre and National Seniors partner to deliver the Queensland Government's Financial Protections Service. This service is designed to better facilitate older Queenslanders' access to and uptake of free and independent financial information. As such, it will assist older Queenslanders to make protective financial decisions for later life which will serve as a preventative tool against elder abuse.
Caxton Legal Centre represents the interests of people who are disadvantaged or on a low income when they come into contact with the law. They do this by strategically advocating to government, providing legal advice and social work services, publishing legal information and building community awareness about the issues faced by the people they help.
Caxton is an independent, non-profit, non-government community organisation.
