The South Australian seniors purchased their winning ticket in support of National Seniors Australia, revealing the charity was one close to their hearts.
“Is this for real?! Oh my god, I can’t believe it. We never win anything!” the winning husband cheered when an official from Play For Purpose revealed their newfound fortune.
“I saw an ad for Play For Purpose online. I checked that it was a genuine raffle and I saw I could purchase a ticket in support of National Seniors Australia. I thought ‘Well, I’ll have a go at that!’.
“We chose to support National Seniors Australia because we’re both seniors ourselves. We’re finding it a bit tough now, so we wanted to support other seniors in a similar boat.

“Wow. I only bought the tickets last night – right before the draw closed!
“We have children spread out across Australia, but we haven’t seen much of Western Australia yet.
“I actually tried to look for a campervan for our Western Australia trip! It turned out to be really expensive. It just was out of our price range. But now, we’ve got our very own!”
